I've been holding it together through sheer will lately. And that is, shall we say, not sustainable. Time to get the various stressors resolved, take the pressure off, and get to sleep at night.
So, the to-do list for this:
I need to sleep 8+ hours every night. Full stop. No compromises. This means being in bed, asleep by 10:45 PM at the latest. Just before I switched jobs, I was sleeping 9 hours every day, and I felt great. Gotta get back to that.
I've got to adjust my training schedule. I've got to be done by 8pm. This 7-9pm stuff is starting to fall apart. And I've got to step up the contact. Get good or get out. So, the goal: two days a week for 2-3 hours, with Krav 2 and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
My current school makes this problematic. I don't like obvious solution. I will wrestle with the schedule some more before looking at changing schools.
I did, however, discover that the Simi branch has an open mat BJJ session scheduled on Sundays from 1 to 3. I'll definitely be interested in that.
And I've got to get my finances under control. Enough of this fly-by-the-seat-of my pants stuff. Time to automate everything, put myself on an allowance. So this weekend: Quicken setup and automated payments to all creditors and services.
