Focus a little good will this way, if you please
Henri's having a rough start. We picked her up last Saturday, and immediately noticed she had a sniffle. No big deal, said the vet, probably just kennel cough, which every pup picks up at the shelter. By the following Saturday she was listless and not eating much, and coughing horribly. We called the vet, who said to give her a couple days for the antibiotics to kick in. But on Saturday night she took a nosedive, and we headed to the T.O. Emergency Pet Clinic, where she stayed until this morning.
I stayed home from work to pick her up from the emergency vet, take her over to her regular vet for an examination, and I've been watching her all day. She's much better than Saturday, but not out of the woods. We're taking her back to her regular vet tomorrow morning to make sure her recovery is continuing, and we'll go from there. She's still sporting a catheter in her leg just in case, which means that she's also sporting the protective cone.
With a little luck (and a little fight from Henri) both cone and catheter will be gone tomorrow morning.
