The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to take another shot at Monday night's ride. The things that did go wrong were largely my own fault, and the terrain itself is absolutely fantastic. Glorious singletrack, expansive views, and amazingly uncrowded conditions.

So I headed back tonight, and used a little of what I know from past rides, and a little more navigating by instinct rather than memory, and I had a great time. I rode the Hidden Pond trail again, and stopped to look for my lost glasses. (Alas, no luck.)

I'm going to leave Hidden Pond alone from now on, until I get an official ruling on whether bikes are allowed on that trail. One end is marked with a "No Bikes" sign, but the other is not, and I don't want to end up ticketed for poaching.

A nice, long, relaxed ride. Exactly what I needed.
