Last night I started what I thought would be a very quick job: replace the middle chainring on my mountain bike. It's going to take a bit longer than I expected, mostly because I have to pull the crank in order to get at the middle ring. But, it turns out that removing the crank is straight-forward, and it's going fine.
I just left the job half-done so I could go enjoy honey ginger tea with Janell. (When she says, "Babe, I made honey ginger tea and banana bread," I go.) I'll wrap it up tonight.
Update: Done. Turns out everything goes back together just as easily as it came apart. Took me maybe 10 minutes to mount the new chainring and put the cranks back in place.
