My first race went great. I had a mountain of fun, trounced my target time, and placed 3rd in my category. I can't imagine a first race going any better than that. It was so much fun that I've already registered for the next race on Nov. 14.
I need to elevate my game. For 2016 I'll bump up to Sport (40-49), and races will get longer and faster.
I feel like I'm getting good results from the workout formerly known as the Mini Workout, and the Foundation Training Low Back Workout is excellent. I can feel it making me stronger, and that's translating to a much stronger "attack position" on the bike. (Hip hinge FTW!)
I want to be consistent: two rides a week, and two gym sessions. We'll see how that goes.
