Two awesome weekends of riding. But I've doubled my usual weekly saddle time for two weeks in a row, and that party has to end sometime. The lack of stoke on Sunday was the give-away that it's time to back off and recover.
So I gave myself a couple of days to rest, then hit Cheeseboro for a quick after-work spin out to Shepherd's Flat and back. By the time I got back to the car, two things were clear: I felt awesome, and my fork was sagging way too much.
Fork pressure was down to 30 psi, so I topped it back up to 65, and I'm back in business. (Though that fork is way overdue for an overhaul.)
And today I rode a quick loop around Weir Canyon. A little over 30 minutes on the bike. Enough to know that I'm still pretty tired, but that I'm coming around. In ten days or so, I'll be stoked to ride, and stronger than ever.
