I took the intensity down a notch today. The thought of Russian triangles just made me sad. So I did something new.

Warm-Up:

  • 5 min run @ 6mph.

5 rounds:

  • 1 min beating on boxing dummy
  • 10 bosu ball crunches
  • 10 box jumps (20 in.)
  • 20 yard loaded carry (85# in rack position)

Follow-Up:

  • kettlebell swings 3 x 20 @ 25#
  • kettlebell press 3 x 8 @ 25#

Carrying an 85# barbell in rack position was super-easy. I only really felt it on the last set. Luckily, there's a heavy boxing bag that's been sitting in a corner because there's nowhere (yet) to hang it up. That's perfect for loaded carries. Getting that thing onto my shoulder is a workout in itself.

And no, the title picture has nothing to do with anything. I just thought that even the most boring picture of an open road is less boring than one of a gym.
