My girlfriend and I caught a screening of Appaloosa, Ed Harris's new western. And Mr. Harris himself was there to do a fun Q&A session after the film.
Appaloosa's a damn fine film. Go see it. It's a western in all the ways a western should be, but it has an unusual self-assurance and sense of itself. It defies the genre in ways that strengthen the film.
And at the end of the day, it's Ed Harris, Viggo Mortensen, and Jeremy Irons playing some badass cowboys. You knew it was going to be great fun.
